Easter Fun

 Happy Saturday,

I did this card over a few days because I couldn't figure out the design I wanted. I knew I wanted to use these adorable stamps from Art Impressions. I started with a basket cut with my Cameo but just didn't like the way that was going so I went to a file I created in my Cameo for this side stair step card years ago. Well actually almost 9 years ago. If you want to see that post it is linked here. But my new card is for the challenge over at the Art Impressions Blog

All the images where colored with Copics. I am still out of practice.

The funny thing is that background paper is computer paper from I am going to guess over 30 years ago. I have always loved the colors in it.

Hope you enjoy the card. And thanks for stopping by.

A winter pick me up

Wow, I made another card. SHOCK, well not really I make a lot of them but most of the time I forget to take a picture before I send them. But this was for a challenge so I took pictures.

The sled is cut with my Silhouette Cameo. I think this is a really cute file. The snow flakes are a old punch I have. And of course a super cute snowman form Art Impressions.

The Snowman is down with the AI watercolor technique.

Itty Bitty Cards and Gift tags

Little bitty card and gift tags

I decided to work on my water coloring again using the Art Impressions way and stamps.

I made a couple of gift tags and a little card. All of these are 3 x 3 in size.

I have to say I am over all pleased. Still practicing but still having fun with it.

I think this was my favorite because it has so many different things in it. The couple came out cute.

Thanks for stopping by and checking these out today.

Another Cute Art Impressions Chick

Oh boy, two posts in one day. Look out.

This is another Easter card I created with Art Impressions Chick set. Here is the link again in case anyone is interested in this set, it is adorable and it comes with the stamps and dies to match. Aren't those bunny ears just too cute?

I am going for a clean and simple look. I used a circle cut out to put on the cardstock then put the stencil on top of that and used my blending brushes to create the lattice just in the circle area.

A little die cut to add a little something

Added Happy Easter and done.

Art Impressions Chicks

Well hello there, I haven't posted on my blog for a very long time. I had an issue with it for a while. Something with the header but I just cleaned it up with just the title now. So nothing fancy.

These little images are from Art Impressions and they are just adorable. The set comes with the stamps and dies.

This is a brand new set. Here is the link in case you would like to pick up a set.

I have colored the images using my copics. A little out of practice. but all in all not bad. The background is created using a masked I made using a punch and then "stenciled" the color in.

Hopefully I can find my editing program and get a little frame or something around them.

Hope you enjoyed the card. It was really fun to make and still have more to do for my Easter mailing list.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to continue updating the blog.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!

Well Hello There,

Yes I have been MIA for a while. I hope to be back to blogging and video making in the New Year.

So stay tuned. Well I sent all my Christmas cards out before I thought to take a picture of some .
While I was making my Christmas cards I ended up coming up with an idea for a New Years card.

A dear friend gave me the Simon Says Stamp star die cut last year and I love it. I have cut it with Neenah solar white card stock. I then layered that on to some metallic gold card stock that I layered on the black card base. I die cut the little banners out of the the same card stocks using dies I received as a prize from Love's Rubber Stamps. The Happy New Year stamp is one from Michaels $1 bins from a number of years ago. I stamped in the delicata gold ink.

The champagne glasses are a silhouette cut file. The "Champagne" in them is created using Darcie's sparkle tape. It is so pretty.

The inside was done making a cut file into a print file using Silhouette file again but I added the 2015 to the glasses this time. The stars have wink of Stella on them.

Thank you for stopping by today and having a look. And please check back in the New Year.

To all Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Wonderful New Year.

Happy Birthday

Happy Friday Everyone,

I wanted to follow along with Sassy Cheryl's Sketch this week so I made a cute birthday card for anyone who loves Micky and Minnie mouse.

This is the We're All Ears Set from Sassy Cheryl. Here is the link if you would like to pick this cutie up.

This was a sketch over at the challenge blog and I though it would be fun to use up some of my little ears embellishments that I have had now for a while.

She is colored with copic markers and I used linen paper. I love the look of copics on the linen paper. The texture just does something. A little wink of stella was used on the skirt ruffle and the hair bow.

Thanks for stopping buy and have a great weekend.

Just having a nice day.

Hi there Everyone,

Hope all is good with you. Well it was a long holiday weekend here. We had a great weekend. Well it was great to get lots of things done around the outside of the house. We finally finished the deck. Woo Hoo. Got some other projects out of the way as well. But we still found time for a nice steak and baked potato on the grill. YUM.

Ok on to my card. Of course it is another cutie from Sassy Cheryl. This is Day Dream Believin. She is available HERE . The challenge was to use purple and 2 die cuts. I have used some MFT dies for the banners shapes. The verse is die cut as well. I love these colors such happy colors.

CAS Cutie

Hello there,

Can you believe it, two weeks in a row. Yup I have another card. This is a colorful CAS card I have done for Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week. I love the fun colors. The adorable image of course is from Sassy Cheryl shop. I love her images. I have colored this cutie with my copics. Not overly happy with the hair but considering I pretty much wiped it off with my colorless blender to try again not too bad. LOL

This is Pigtail Gabby you can get her HERE

Ok, hope to get some more cards done but all the outside work that comes with home ownership ( you know the thing when the house owns you) that we are working on I will try and squeeze some in. Anybody want to come over and help with striping a deck and then painting it? :-)

Have a great week.

A spring flower for you!

Well Hello Everyone,

I know it has been forever since I posted. I decided to do a little cardmaking the other day. I picked up a couple of Sassy Cheryl's images and started. The image is from Avery's Summer Afternoon set available HERE oh and it's on sale too. :-)

I just too this picture with my phone's camera since it was sitting here. LOL

I have colored her with my copics. The little piece of designer paper is from Michael's $1 bin.

I used my cloud stencil from Rosie's Roadshow and my BG 10 copic. I think they came out cute.

We have lots of ugly clouds here today along with rain and wind and it's cold my poor little flowers that are out need little sweaters on.

Just thought I would drop in and add a card.

Tis the Season

Hi there everyone,

Wow almost a month since I posted. Goodness. Oh well it's that time of year. Just a quick post today. I finally made one of the pretty lighted glass blocks I have been seeing everywhere.

I just took a quick picture with my phone so it's not the greatest picture and you can see my messy desk too. LOL

I cut the words that I purchased from the Silhouette store from vinyl and added them to the block and put some jingle bells inside add a light and boom done. It came out really cute.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a great day.

Gift Card Cutie

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are having a great day today. I sure am. I am in my studio having a blast taking the Online Card Classes Holiday Card Workshop 2013. I am working on Day 1 because I was not able to work on anything Monday and Tuesday. But I made this cute adorable gift card holder.

The stamp is one that is part of a set by Darcies that I purchased at convention a number of years ago. Long before you could find a lot of Darcie's product in store and online stores. It is a large set and I had never used it before except to catalog it.

So I broke it out and went with it. This my interpretation of Kristina's card. Change it up a little but not much. I like some have a few washi tapes and never use them. I think this is the second time I have ever used any on a card. I like the way it dressed it up.

This little guy is colored with my copics and cut out. The little glitter snowflakes are stickers from the Dollar Tree and worked perfect.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set and embossed with white embossing powder.
Oh and I finally got a hold of a Wink of Stella Clear glitter brush pen and have used it on the heart. It's very hard to see in the photo but gives a pretty shine.

Now I have a ton and I do mean a ton of embossing folders and rarely use them. I broke out the peppermint stripe one by cuttlebug and used it on the front of the card that is done with Kraft cardstock.

Now this inside. It has a vellum pocket for the gift card. Oh and another one of those glitter snowflakes and yes more washi tape. I am on a roll. LOL

I hope you have enjoy the card today and now I am back to some more of the classes.
Thanks for stopping by.

Joyous Holiday

Hi there,

Happy November. Boy is it moving fast already. I am glad I got a jump on making Christmas cards this year.  Here is one I channelled my former DT team mate Dawn. She always made the most beautiful CAS cards. I am using a Sassy Cheryl image. Her snow people are so adorable.

This cutie is colored with my copics. I have used white linen card stock. I love the texture it gives. The image is so cute I didn't want to clutter it with too much so I just added the sentiment. Oh but I couldn't let it go completely I added just a touch of stickles around the star. A little hard to see but it's there.

I have made a few of these to send out this year.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great rest of the weekend.

Trick or Treat

Hi Everyone,

I have a quick picture of a card I did using another cute Sassy Cheryl image ( yes I love her images). Isn't she a cutie? Nothing ugly about her.

She is all ready to head out for some treats. She is a good girl no tricks up her sleeves.
Sorry the lighting is a little bad it is later in the afternoon so no bright sun.

I have colored her with my copics. Her dress has some pretty stickles on it. The ribbon is glittery. The Trick or Treat stamp is a studio G stamps

I wanted the spider web paper to stand out and the plain orange cardstock was not cutting it. I added some heat and stick powder and used my AIG pumpkin glitter to make it look like glitter paper which I didn't have in orange.

I hope you like the card I have for you today.
Thanks for stopping by.

Harvest Time

Hello Everyone,

Happy Wednesday! Can you believe that October is half over. Wow, the end of the year will be here before you know it. I just noticed on the calendar that Thanksgiving is pretty late this year. I have seen a black Friday already go up on BFads. Good grief guess better get moving on that Christmas shopping.

Ok, today my card is not Christmas but just screaming fall.

This is a Sassy Cheryl image called Max and his prize pumpkin. You can get it here.
I have colored him with my copics. I wanted something a little different for his hat so after I colored the hat I used my colorless blender to make the polkadots.

The background paper is by DCWV that I purchased from Joann's called The Pumpkin Patch.  This paper pad really has some pretty papers in it.

The little leaves are cut out using a new die I picked up a few weeks ago from Impression Obsession. It was a smaller die than I thought but I like that it is smaller and worked well on this card.

The verse is one that I made into a print and cut file using my silhouette cameo.

Thanks for stopping by to have a look today and hope you have a great rest of the week.

Skate for the Cause

Hi everyone,

Hope your week has started off to be a good one. Today I have a card that I made with one of Sassy Cheryl's recent additions to her shop. Isn't she a cutie? I thought I would make it a little different rather than a winter or Christmas card. It's October and that it breast cancer awareness month so I went in that direction. I created the verse/tag with my cameo making a print file out of the ice skates cut file. This just give you double use of your cut files.

Now I support the cause when ever I can I am not sure I would do so well with this well unless skating can be done on your butt because that would be more than likely where I would end up. LOL But I would give it a try. ( I think) might have to think about it, the older you get the bones don't heal well if broken. Hummm. Ok I would donate.:-)

I have colored her with my copics. The paper is some I have had in my stash it has a design with glitter all over it. The soft pink ribbon I thought went well with it.

I few pink pearls and an awareness ribbon charm. Kept it a little simple.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will consider helping in the fight.
